Growing up in the beautiful Brecon Beacons, I was inspired by the soft and sharp angles of the mountains, and the way the sunlight cast shadows on them. The sculptural landscape of my childhood stuck with me, so to bring this three-dimension into my illustrative practise only seemed natural.
Mostly made from paper and paint, my work covers a wide range of subjects, from social and political issues to narrative and character design. With the rise of digitally produced illustration, my work instead focuses on the handmade, using texture, lighting,
photography and depth to create a tactile, visually striking aesthetic that draws you into the image.
I graduated from Loughborough University in 2014 with a First Class degree in Illustration. I am currently based in Cardiff.
